CarySo we had a lot of AMAZING fun at Another Anime Con. It was our first attending it and if we can, we're definitely going to try and go again next year. We also had guest member Amanda G. join us for our Baccano! group; she was absolutely spectacular as our Chane and we wouldn't have had as much fun without her there.
Instead of staying in the con hotel, we made the executive decision to stay at a Best Western nearby. We actually loved that decision because it was so nice to be able to leave the con at the end of the day to get a breather.
So many people recognized us! It COMPLETELY shocked us. Princess Snowglobing has the tendency to pick relatively unknown manga/anime/characters to cosplay and we figured "Baccano!" was going to be another unknown. Instead, SO MANY PEOPLE stopped us to ask for pictures and such. One of my personal favorite moments was when Lucretia of the
Penny Dreadfuls asked Zimm and I to act in character during part of her panel. Zimm and I also participated in the Cosplay Chess Match (our first time both watching and participating) and that was a whole lotta fun as well.
We were able to reconnect with so many of our friends at the con, including

,

and

. We also officially met

, who did a photoshoot with us. We can't wait to see the pictures!

Finally, Princess Snowglobing Cosplay was the proud recipient of
TWO awards at AAC. We won for Best Advanced Craftsmanship and Best Skit in the Advanced Division. Thank you so so much to all the judges and everyone else who supported us during the con, including

, who hung out with us a lot and always said 'hi' when we passed in the halls

We will be posting pictures of the con hopefully soon. You can check out some of our new videos at our
Youtube account.

GriffinAAC has taught me many things.
1. Smelly guys are dangerous- they will appear out of nowhere, and will invade your personal space despite your unwillingness and very apparent disapproval.
2. Cosplay Chess is PLANNED.
3. WAY more people know what Baccano is than I imagined.
4. Litchfield is far away.
AAC was a good time. I was slightly overwhelmed with the amount of panels I went to- really, I only went to like 4, but that is far more than I normally attend. The amount of Knowledge I gained from Lucretia's Trap/crossdressing/pitfall panel was incredible. I have female hair tendencies, apparently.
I got to meet up with a few old con friends which made me EXTREMELY happy. I'm pretty well known at Portcon (Zimm and Cary think I'm a con celebrity but THIS ISN'T TRUE DON'T LISTEN TO THEM I JUST BUMP INTO LOTS OF PEOPLE. ), so it's always nice to run into the people I only see once a year at cons. Some specific shoutouts:

: GIRRRLLLLL I adore you.
Willow: Your staff was so crafty and amazing! You are such a blast to be around.
Ginger and Michela: It's ALWAYS good to see you both, and holycrap your DMC4 line always impresses me! Hopefully at AAC We'll be able to impress you both (foroncecough) with my SHINYCLAWWW.

and Sora: LITCHFIELD IS FAR AWAY DIRRRP.
Anyway, the overall experience was entertaining. I had a lot of fun at the masquerade and a lot of the skits were entertaining and I made some pretty great new friends. The 25 minutes of stalling on part of the Staff at the masquerade was kinda unfortunate, but thank god they were there because if they weren't entertaining us they way they did, it would have been farrrr worse.
So yeah. I don't want to ramble any more because I'm self-conscious of these types of things... Anyway: AAC was fun.

Finally, we've settled on what cosplay we're doing next- everyone, say hello to "D.Gray-Man"!

Always remember to train your fangirls before you release them into the convention! Only YOU can prevent Bishi Damage.
